The Maintenance Technician provides planned and corrective cross-functional maintenance and preventive repair services including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting on Campus Recreation managed facilities and equipment.
Primary duties include:
•Provide cross-functional maintenance and repair services including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing for indoor space and adjacent outdoor areas.
•Perform general, routine, and preventative maintenance on Campus Recreation equipment to include cardiovascular and strength, sport specific, pool mechanical equipment.
•Assist with facility and event set up and break down as required for classes and special events.
•Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of equipment and supplies.
High school diploma and 3 years directly related trade experience.
Experience in a commercial or residential trades occupation including but not limited to carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or plumbing with knowledge of national and local code requirements for trades area. South Carolina driver’s license required.
This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement / hazardous weather and other emergencies. In addition, this position requires a variable work schedule. Evening and weekend hours will be required.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge and ability to repair and trouble shoot a wide variety of maintenance needs. Ability to work within established resources. Ability to communicate in writing and orally to management. Ability to maintain accurate records relating to time, materials and services provided.
