Client Manager - Institute Communications

DescriptionJob Purpose: Promote the services of the Georgia Tech Communications &Marketing organization to campus units. Upon engagement, provide full spectrumcommunications support to assigned units. Responsible for setting employeegoals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making payrecommendations.

 Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop client relationships and market the available services of the Communications and Marketing organization to the campus.
  • Coordinate strategic planning efforts for campus clients.
  • Prepare, execute and measure communications plans and efforts including project status and budgets.
  • Coordinate internal communications and media resources based on clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with Communications and Marketing staff to build, serve on, or lead specific integrated communications and project teams. Manage project costs, production and client relations.
  • Manage electronic and print projects with regard to production, costs, quality and effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Work Experience: Two to four years job related experience.
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Skills: This job requires working knowledge of communications program development and production. Includes strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, negotiation and customer service skills, print and electronic production knowledge, strategic planning skills, creativity and attention to detail. Use of office and specialized computer applications is required.

  • Preferred Work Experience: Five to seven years job related experience.

  • Preferred Skills: Candidates for this position will ideally have cross channel experience, with an understanding of digital strategy development.  Experience with project management best practices and platforms, as well as the ability to lead cross collaborative teams, is preferred.
