Job Summary
This one year visiting faculty position for the 2019-2020 academic year requires teaching graduate level research, assessment/evaluation, and statistics courses as well as mentoring students in research, including dissertation support. Funding for a tenure track position is anticipated for the 2020-2021 academic year. Applications received by March 29, 2019 will receive full consideration; the search will remain open until filled.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This appointment as a visiting assistant professor includes teaching foundational level graduate level research and statistics, advanced research design including experimental and quasi-experimental designs; advanced statistics; and measurement and assessment. The ability to provide a supportive learning environment for foundation level research and statistics courses is essential. Mentoring, research, and service are also expected. The anticipated starting date is August 15, 2019 (Fall 2019 semester). Summer 2019 teaching may be available.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Earned Ph.D. in statistics, educational research, educational psychology, education policy, or closely related field. Degree must be completed by start date. 2. Strong written and oral communication skills. 3. Demonstrated success in teaching including the ability and willingness to teach online4. Research/scholarship experience needed for quality graduate student mentorship. 5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds, programs, and colleges.

Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants who meet the requirements listed above and one or more of the following: 1. Coursework and/or experience teaching advanced measurement, evaluation, or institutional research.2. Experience or expertise with student assessment and testing in the P-12 setting.
