Department Overview
UNT Health is an academic, primary and specialty care center that serves a diverse population of 37,000 patients in the Greater Fort Worth Area. Pharmacists serve an integral role in the UNTHSC Clinical Practice Group, which includes physicians, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, and pharmacist providers. Pharmacist providers within the UNTHSC Clinical Practice Group deliver comprehensive medication management (CMM) services under an expansive collaborative practice agreement that covers 40+ disease states and includes 35+ physicians. The population includes large Medicaid and Medicare cohorts, along with private insurance.

Located at the UNTHSC campus in Fort Worth, the College of Pharmacy joined colleges/schools of Osteopathic Medicine, Public Health, Health Professions, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 2013. The SCP graduated its first class and received accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in 2017.

Position Details
The University of North Texas Health Science Center System College of Pharmacy (UNTHSC-SCP) is inviting applications for an Ambulatory Care (Family Medicine) Pediatrics, or Geriatrics faculty position in the Department of Pharmacotherapy. This individual will serve as a College of Pharmacy faculty member who will enhance the UNTHSC vision and mission, while making meaningful contributions to the profession of pharmacy and the community.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Works under the leadership of the Chair to deliver the Pharm.D. curriculum for Professional Years 1 to 4 (P1, P2, P3, and P4) as it relates to the pharmacy practice components of the professional pharmacy curriculum.

* Works under the leadership of the Chair, and the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs to precept P4 students during Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs) on Ambulatory Care rotations.

* Works with primary care providers and under leadership of the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs to provide clinical pharmacy services to patients at the UNTHSC Health Pavilion (HP) and Seminary Clinics including comprehensive medication management and disease state management under a collaborative practice agreement.

* Works to secure revenue generation through chronic care management, annual wellness visits, participation in CMS value contracts (i.e., billable pharmacy services).

* Engages in scholarly activity that contributes to a culture of academic excellence that advances the practice of pharmacy.

* Works closely with faculty from other schools/colleges at the UNTHSC and other local universities (i.e. Texas Christian University) to provide interprofessional education that meets the needs of a diverse Texas population.

* Contributes to the service efforts that enhance the quality of pharmacy education and research in Texas, nationally, and internationally.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* Applicants must have graduated with a Pharm. D from an ACPE accredited pharmacy program with a pharmacy degree to be eligible to practice pharmacy in Texas.

* Completed an ASHP accredited PGY-1 post graduate residency training program or have three years of ambulatory care patient related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

*Eligible for Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Practice

* Complete an ASHP accredited PGY-2 post-graduate training program in Ambulatory Care.
