The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position with expertise in nursing education. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching and evaluating online theory and practicum courses. This faculty position will be accountable for teaching courses such as teaching strategies, evaluation, curriculum development and nursing education practicum courses for graduate nursing students. The position may also involve teaching courses in other College of Nursing departments and concentrations. Preference will be given to applicants with recent nursing education experience.Minimum Education/Experience
Minimum Qualifications Include:
Tenure track positions require a doctorate in nursing or related field, from an appropriately accredited institution. Non-tenure requires a Master’s degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. MSN or Post Master’s certificate with concentration in Nurse Education is required. A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. Two years of clinical practice as well as experience in nursing education is required.License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation
A concentration in nursing education and certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) are required.
A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Preferred Education and Experience:
A PhD in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing. Preference will be given to applicants with recent nursing education experience and a PhD or comparable degree.Special Instructions to Applicant
