Advertised Job Summary

Under limited supervision, reporting to the Executive Director of Talent and Administrative Services, the Contract and Gifts Administrator is responsible for enhancing the internal organizational processes related to all University Development contractual program agreements and donor gift agreements. S/he will review all vendor contracts and gift agreements and makes recommendations when needed. The Contract and Gifts Administrator is the primary liaison to UofSC’s Office of General Counsel and University Foundations for everything related to program contractual agreements and donor gift agreements. S/he will provide oversight of all vendor and gift administration functions with a particular emphasis on Development Officer support, vendor management and contract status. The Contract and Gifts Administrator will work to implement best practices; manage relations with multiple constituencies; and maximize the quality of service provided to the University’s internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master’s degree and 4 years related experience in business, public administration or administrative services, or bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree and 4 years’; or bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ experience in development, fundraising, legal or related field, preferably within higher education. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and a familiarity with UofSC policies, procedures, and software systems.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

The ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent and ongoing tasks despite interruption. Proven capability to plan, execute and manage projects to completion. Adept at conducting research and maintaining complex filing systems. Strong negotiating skills with the ability to think analytically, strategically and critically. A “customer-service” focus with the ability to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships with a large and diverse group of stakeholders. The ability to work as a member of a team and to foster cooperative and collegial working relationships. Strong organizational skills with an exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Exceptional presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage a large volume of work to meet deadlines. The ability to maintain confidentiality. A willingness to participate in seminars, conferences, organizations, etc. to continue to develop and grow professionally.
