•Serves as a role model and motivates students to achieve their academic needs
•Serves as a resource for the primary instructor
•Actively provides tutorial assistance and academic coaching
•Attends tutor trainings and required meetings
•Collaborates with the primary instructor and administers tests, quizzes, or other assignments
•Meets with assigned classes in a regular classroom at scheduled times each week
•Answers students' questions regarding the assignments, and reviews materials as requested
•Monitors academic progress, maintains students' records and attendance rosters
•Monitors on-site computer resources and guides students to use the educational software at the labs
•Provides assistance with registration for students in the scheduled lab
•Performs other duties as assigned

•Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of teaching or related experience
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives and policies and
procedures
•Possess well-developed communication skills (Verbal and Written)
•Knowledge and understanding of student and faculty requirements for lab procedures, skills, and testing
•Ability to positively interact with staff, students, and faculty
•Knowledge of computer applications and educational technologies for academic support
•Possess an aptitude for teaching and interest in working with students
•Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
•Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
