The University of Virginia Department of Media Studies seeks applications for a one-year appointment as an Academic General Faculty Member (Tenure-Ineligible) at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank. The term of appointment runs from August 25, 2019 through May 24, 2020 with the potential of an additional year. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to, History of Media, Non US Media and Diversity and Identity Media. The successful candidate will teach three courses per semester.

A PhD or appropriate terminal degree is expected by the start date. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching.  Teaching experience is required.
