Adjunct Assistant Professor, Animation

Teach one or more Animation program courses including, Digital Rendering, Introduction to 2D Animation, Introduction to 3D Modeling and Game Art. Course Outlines and objectives are available at: http://catalog.jccc.edu/coursedescriptions/ani/

Specifically, Fall 2019, teach one face to face section of ANI 122 Digital Rendering on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3 to 5:50 p.m.

Required Skills
  • High School graduate or equivalent required

  • Bachelors Degree in Animation or a closely related field and 3+ years work experience as a 3D animator in the industry

  • Strong communication skills

  • Demonstrate mastery in use of Autodesk Maya, After Effects, and Photoshop

  • Portfolio showing demonstrated high proficiency in Maya showing conceptual art, modeling, texturing, lighting and animation

  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and related software

Preferred Skills

  • Master's Degree in Animation, or closely related field
  • College level teaching experience

Required Experience

3+ years of directly applicable experience within the Animation Industry

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within the Gaming and Entertainment Animation Industry
  • College level teaching experience
