Duties and ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: The Project Coordinator – Non Union position. Reports to the Executive Director of Apprenticeship Workforce solutions, and is primarily responsible for providing assistance and support to Apprenticeship team to manage and refresh partnership development data and source qualified students for employer sponsored apprenticeship and work-based learning (WBL) programs. Performs administrative duties to assist with the administration of the programs, and monitoring the progress of students in successfully completing their academic and job training programs. Performs related duties as required. 

Essential Duties: •Meets with students to Apprenticeship team and partners to discuss requirements and criteria of employer sponsored apprenticeship and WBL programs, academic requirements, alignment with degree and certificate programs, and job training benefits.  •Works with prospective students list to ensure opportunities are presented and student inquiries are addressed; coordinates with colleges on schedules placement testing; and works with Registrar’s Office to obtain transcript evaluations as needed. •Coordinates with College Advisors to ensure student cohorts are advised about workforce readiness, employer expectations, and available support services (e.g. tutoring) to assist students in achieving their goals. • Works collaboratively with college staff in various departments to ensure the proper academic and sequential course scheduling, class registration, and financial aid processing of students accepted into apprenticeship and WBL programs. •Monitors the submission of students’ program applications to partner companies, ensuring academic records are made accessible to organization. Tracks student candidates’ interviews with client organizations and selection of program participants. •Participates in the preparation and presentations of student orientations. •Attends meetings and conference calls with stakeholder to monitor program performance and proactively mitigate issues. •Collects, compiles, and maintains records to track the academic progress of student cohort(s) in apprenticeship/WBL programs. Prepares reports for use in assessing students’ progress and identifying students in need for additional student support. •Coordinates with colleges on the scheduling of workshops and other professional development opportunities for students.

Qualifications•A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public or Business Administration, Counseling, Marketing or a related field.  •Five years of work experience in student services, preferable at a community college •Must have excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills •Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
