ITS Teaching and Learning (ITS-TL) provides instructional technology applications and integration to support the University’s academic mission. This position serves as technical administrator for two campus-wide student services – CCI Printing (student printing) and Virtual Lab (Citrix virtual application delivery).
Duties include:
-Respond to customer requests for new software offerings and service issues, and update customers in compliance with the institutional goals and our service response guidelines.
-Monitor printer status remotely and develop alerts to provide early notification of service issues.
-Manage Windows application servers for reliable delivery of Citrix virtualized applications, including application balancing across multiple server images.
-Collaborate with service owners by providing technical insights to improve service performance and customer satisfaction.
-Assist in the creation of service performance indicators and the development of service usage reports

Educational Requirements

Master’s and 1-2 years’ experience or Bachelors and 2-4 years’ experience or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

Qualifications and Experience

The following experiences are required:
-Ability to write scripts to automate repetitive tasks
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in groups of different sizes and with members from different professions.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Experience with Windows Server OS, and Active Directory
-Demonstrated experience troubleshooting Windows desktop software
-Ability to move up to 100 pounds

The following experiences are preferred:
-Prior experience in a higher education IT environment
-Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Zabbix or Citrix Director.
-Experience with Citrix virtual applications and Citrix Receiver (now called Workspace)
-Strong analytical skills to be able to perform detailed root cause analysis and resolution.
-Mac OS support experience, including iOS
