The Department of Physiology and Anatomy, which includes the Center for Anatomical Sciences, at UNTHSC is nestled in the heart of Fort Worth's Cultural District, and is surrounded by world-renown museums, theaters, music venues, restaurants, nightlife spots, botanical gardens, and the Fort Worth Zoo. Position Details
The Department of Physiology and Anatomy at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth, TX invites applications for a full-time faculty position that focuses on teaching human gross anatomy.
The new hire will contribute to lecture and laboratory instruction of cadaver-based human gross anatomy courses for medical (MD and DO), physical therapy, physician assistant, and graduate students. Other duties may include mentoring graduate students in the Structural Anatomy and Rehabilitation Sciences graduate program, preparing quality human cadaver prosections for use in anatomy courses, and involvement in the Center's numerous K-12 science outreach programs. Current CAS faculty have teaching and research backgrounds in education, anatomy, histology, embryology, biological anthropology, evolutionary biology, and K-12 science outreach.
The Center for Anatomical Scie is home to the BioSkills Laboratory which supports clinical training activities for health care professionals from all over the United States. These activities include training in orthopedic procedures, ultrasound guided pain management and joint injection, spine and back pain management, and numerous other surgical training events. Candidates with the ability to contribute to these clinical/surgical skills training sessions will be given particular consideration.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:
* M.S., Ph.D., D.O., M.D., or equivalent degree.
* ABD students with at least 1-3 years of teaching experience in dissection-based human gross anatomy will be considered.
