Math Plaza Supervisor, Mathematics- Requisition # 19000000U6
This position manages the operation of the Math Plaza in fall, spring, and summer, including the screening of student staff applicants, and student staff scheduling and evaluation. This position teaches two freshman/sophomore level mathematics courses (one in the fall and one in the spring). Responsibilities include:
- Managing the tutoring and testing aspects of the Math Plaza by directing the activities of the student staff as they provide an appropriate learning environment and assistance to best meet the needs of students, in coordination with the Math department head and course instructors.
- Teaching two freshman/sophomore level math courses (one in the fall and one in the spring)
- Overseeing the screening of student staff applicants, payroll preparation, and student staff scheduling and evaluation.
Master’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education is required. One year of teaching experience in Mathematics at the college level is required. Must have mathematical proficiency/expertise. Must have one year of management/supervisory experience. Must be computer proficient.
