Student Support Coordinator

The Center for Student Success at The College of New Jersey is seeking candidates for the role of Student Support Coordinator. This position serves as the coordinator of the Provisional program and the primary Academic Advisor for Provisional students. The position also serves as an academic advisor for drop-in and referred students to CSS. They will provide academic coaching and supplemental advising, as well as other relevant student support services (such as workshops, emotional support, and transitional advisement), as needed. They will operate under a case management approach to resolve student concern and develop appropriate interventions, when necessary. They will administer and interpret applicable College policies and practices that impact upon the Center for Student Success.

The Student Support Coordinator will report to the Associate Director for the Center for Student Success within the Division of Enrollment Management.


  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two to three years working in higher education working directly with academic advisement or A Master's degree in student or academic counseling and a minimum of one to two years in higher education working directly with academic advisement
  • Experience in academic coaching/study skills training with students
  • Experience working with a Student Information Systems (preferred: PeopleSoft) and Learning Management Systems (preferred: Canvas)
  • Experience creating and facilitating academic success workshops
