Provide operation, maintenance and installation of access control systems including designing, diagnosing and making repairs to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all equipment. Responsible for performing commercial access control and door hardware installation, programming, and service. Responsible for surveying, designing and installing access control systems.
Required QualificationsShall have certifications to operate software and perform installation of hardware configured to operate with CBORD CS Gold or the ability to obtain within one year from date of hire.
Possess significant experience in commercial access control and door hardware installation, programming, and service.
-Possess networking configuration and trouble-shooting skills.
-Ability to install/repair Access control components such as card readers, contacts, electrified door hardware, and access control panels.
-Ability to troubleshoot and repair components of access control systems such as card readers, contacts, door hardware, and access control panels.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operation/product manuals.
-Possess skills in access control system design/layout.
-Experience in the use of hand tools, gauges, and equipment used in access control systems maintenance and installation.
-Extensive knowledge of Microsoft OS and navigation, with ability to be comfortable working with a command prompt.
-Working knowledge of Software and Hardware specifications to match application requirements with access control design and purchasing.
-Understanding of basic network infrastructure and configuration.
Ability to survey access control systems and recommend upgrades.
Experience reading and writing basic SQL queries and files for import.
-Experience monitoring software applications, documenting and analyzing problems, and creating maintenance schedules

- This position has been designated as essential to the operation of the department, will require reporting to work when the College is officially closed and is subject to overtime.
