Based on the recommendation of the Provost’s Task Force on Research and Scholarship, the University of Tulsa is initiating a search for a Vice President for Research. The Vice President for Research serves as the chief research officer for The University of Tulsa, and plays a critical role in the support and development of funded and unfunded research, scholarly endeavors, innovation, and creative activities across the institution. In collaboration with the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Deans, the faculty, students, and staff, the Vice President for Research’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership for research in support of the university’s mission and strategic plan. The Vice President is responsible for fostering research opportunities for faculty as well as graduate and undergraduate students, advancing the university’s research and scholarly reputation, and prioritizing and allocating budgetary resources. The Vice President for Research reports directly to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
