The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, has a position for an Assistant Research Professor. This individual will assist in the development of the Department’s Wound Healing and Regenerative Medicine Research Program. This position requires research experience in molecular and cell biology of skin and wound healing, signaling and genomics analyses and will include bench research, supervision and training of students and fellows and teaching. Excellent scientific writing and communications skills are also required.
Duties will include 90% research and 10% administrative and educational activities. This individual will contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery and to the Miller School of Medicine through scholarly work, publications, and presentations and participate in education and training.
This individual will also be expected to submit grants to support research efforts and transfer any eligible grants to cover his/her professional income expenses and contribute to the Department of Dermatology for each fiscal year.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, in teaching, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group.
