The Department of French seeks applications to fill non-tenure-track, part-time Lecturer positions during the 2019-20 academic year. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to: French language (beginning to advanced levels), composition and conversation. Compensation will take the form of wages. Teaching load will vary.

Candidates must have prior teaching experience at the college level, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and near-native fluency in French; preference will be given to candidates familiar with department methodologies, textbooks, and course offerings. Candidates must have a Master's in French (or in Second Language Acquisition, with teaching experience in French); preference will be given to candidates with a completed Ph.D. or ABD status.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
