The Department of French seeks applications to fill non-tenure-track, part-time Lecturer positions during the 2019-20 academic year. Subject areas of particular need include, but are not limited to: French language (beginning to advanced levels), composition and conversation. Compensation will take the form of wages.  Teaching load will vary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have prior teaching experience at the college level, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and near-native fluency in French; preference will be given to candidates familiar with department methodologies, textbooks, and course offerings. Candidates must have a Master's in French (or in Second Language Acquisition, with teaching experience in French); preference will be given to candidates with a completed Ph.D. or ABD status.

Education: Master's or terminal degree in French (or in Second Language Acquisition, with teaching experience in French)

Experience: Prior teaching experience at the college level, a strong commitment to undergraduate education, and near-native fluency in French

Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
