As a member of the UCI Health Systems (UCIHS) leadership team and with a direct reporting line to the CEO and a dotted line to the Vice Chancellor of Information Technology for UCI, the Chief Information Officer (CIO), is responsible for program development and oversees IT operations management for patient care, research, education, and administration. The CIO has primary responsibility for the delivery of IT and telecommunications solutions and overall operational effectiveness of technology within UCIHS. The CIO provides direct oversight of technology infrastructure, enterprise systems and services and oversees processes to promote scientific advancement and knowledge dissemination across the entire UCI campus. The CIO works in close collaboration with others to help shape the vision, provide policy direction, and lead in the development of strategies in technology to support and advance the strategic goals in educational, research, and administrative functions across UCI and the UC system. This is a highly interactive and inclusive position that requires direct collaboration with UCI Health Affairs leadership, UCI IT leadership, University of California colleagues, and the Office of the President.
