Job Summary
The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, renewable non-tenure-track faculty position of Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences to begin in August 2019. The position is primarily dedicated to undergraduate teaching.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teach 12 semester hours per semester
  2. Curriculum Development
  3. Service commensurate with expectations of all faculty
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Doctorate in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics. Ability to engage in effective teaching.
Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching introductory mathematics or mathematics education courses at the college level. Ability to engage in effective research in mathematics or mathematics education, including undergraduate research.
