Job Summary
Adjunct faculty members facilitate students’ achievement of course objectives and prepare students to matriculate through the programs at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Online and face-to-face course delivery and instruction
  • Prepare and submit syllabi, grades and other required course documentation in a timely manner
  • Communicate course requirements and expectations to students
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Psychology or closely-related field from an accredited university
  • Ability to teach effectively (both online and in traditional settings) at the university level in an undergraduate and graduate psychology program.
  • Criminal history and background check clearance. Uphold the mission and values of USM,
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited university
  • Licensure (master’s or doctoral level) may be required for some positions
  • Teaching, mentoring and service experience at university level
  • Experience with online course delivery and instruction
  • Professional experience in mental health and/or psychological research
  • Experience with Canvas technology
