Position Summary

This is responsible professional work, which involves providing administrative support for various programs and functions within the Office of Curriculum Systems, including the First-Year Odyssey Seminar Program, the Double Dawgs programs, the University Curriculum Committee, the UGA Bulletin, and other curriculum-related processes. An employee in this position is expected to perform, with a high degree of autonomy, those tasks necessary to assure the effectiveness of any program or service within the area of assignment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Experience in academic advising and/or working with curriculum, general office experience, strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Working knowledge of office practices and procedures; organizational skills; ability to use discretion with confidential information; ability to use independent judgment; ability to pay close attention to detail; ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects; skill in the use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and/or presentation software.

- Assist with the First-Year Odyssey Seminar Program by loading seminar sections in Athena, collecting and organizing submitted forms, purchasing supplies, attending summer orientation sessions, monitoring enrollment.

-Assist with support of the Double Dawgs program, including the review of proposals, attending recruiting events and summer orientation, and responding to questions about the program from faculty, staff, students and administrators

-Assist with other curriculum processes, including Bulletin changes and Major Requirements system updates, supporting the University Curriculum Committee and subcommittees, Banner course attributes, off schedule and evening exam requests, CAPA system, Study Abroad/Field Study Programs and Courses, Syllabus System and Lab/Supply Fees
