Instructor and Clinical Coordinator of Radiologic Technology (Tenure Track)

DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Radiologic Technology Department/ School of Health Careers, Technology, and Applied Learning

TITLE OF POSITION/RANK: Instructor and Clinical Coordinator of Radiologic Technology (Tenure Track)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Radiologic Technology Department is seeking a full-time Instructor and Clinical Coordinator to perform department administrative duties in the Associate Degree program. Teaching responsibilities include classroom lecture, college lab, and clinical instruction for both beginning and advanced Radiologic Technology. The faculty member will participate in the development/design and revision of curriculum offered, laboratory development and maintenance, management of the student clinical activities at the various clinical facilities, and student advisement. Faculty members are expected to participate actively in both departmental and college wide activities, including active involvement in student clubs and local professional organizations. Faculty are required to teach fifteen (15) hours a week and hold a minimum of five (5) office hours per week, ten (10) months of the year. The School of Health Careers, Technology, and Applied Learning is committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a Master’s degree in a health related field and 1 year of practical experience. The candidate must also hold current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in radiography and possess an active New York State Radiologic Technology license. Proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction and academic advising required. Experience in curriculum development and test construction is also required. Experience with the JRCERT accreditation process is required. The successful completion of a background check is required. Knowledge and commitment to the goals and mission of the community college and demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse and multicultural student body and staff are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years of recent teaching experience in a JRCERT accredited program in Radiologic Technology is strongly preferred.


SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $64,841 plus excellent benefits.
