Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of North Texas is seeking a full-time Lecturer in Italian to begin September 1, 2019 (classes begin 08/26/2019). The position of Lecturer comes with full benefits. Duties: Teach four undergraduate courses in Italian language, literature and/or culture per semester. Coordinate the Italian program including developing curriculum, organizing extra-curricular activities, and promoting the Italian program. Active participation in Department activities and committees is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:
MA in Italian language, literature, or culture, or related field required; native or near-native proficiency in Italian and English; US college/university level teaching experience in Italian language.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching advanced level Italian language, literature and/or culture courses and evidence of teaching excellence; experience with program coordination/supervision; evidence of commitment to departmental service and commitment to study abroad preferred. Ability to teach undergraduate Latin courses.
