Windows Systems Administrator

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Windows Services Group (WSG) is responsible for the campus central Active Directory, Office 365 implementation, and Platform as a Service (PaaS) for Microsoft servers and leverages Microsoft-based solutions to serve the 40,000 UCI faculty, staff, and students of the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and its mission of rigorous academics, cutting-edge research and dedicated public service.

Under close supervision of the Windows Services Group manager, the incumbent will serve as a member of the group and will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the Windows servers and Office 365 environment.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
May be required to work outside of normal work hours and occasional weekends depending on workload and deadlines.

Contract Position. This is a one year contract appointment position with the possibility of additional year contract appointment extensions. Per the University of California (UC) recruitment policy, because this position has undergone competitive recruitment, this position can be converted to career status any time after hire, as conversion meets criteria set by UC recruitment policy and the needs of the Office of Information Technology department.
