DescriptionThe Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director will serve as an advisor and liaison to the Director of Athletics. Incumbent will have a record of success in higher education leadership responsibilities and achievements in the administration of Division I intercollegiate athletics within a comprehensive university or equivalent experience with a sports organization or entity. The Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director will work closely with the Director of Athletics to build a strong, positive athletics program and encourage support for the University among a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Key stakeholders include students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, donors, the media, business and community leaders, and other supporters of Temple University. 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervision and direction of all sport administrators, women’s basketball and other assigned sports, as well as administrative support areas including sport performance, sport medicine, and mental health & wellness; assistance in the oversight of strategic planning including facility development and capital projects; assistance in the preparation of long-term program plans to establish the direction and goals of the department. The Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director will serve on various department, university and conference committees and represent the department at various events and conferences.
The position supports the University’s academic mission and programs by aligning Temple University’s Division I intercollegiate athletics program with the mission and values of the University. The Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director serves as a spokesperson for the Athletics program, promoting its philosophy and values, and regularly engaging stakeholders and constituents. The Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director integrates and engages student-athletes, staff, and coaches into the programs and activities of the University and also takes the lead in developing a climate of trust, honesty, integrity, and open communications while advocating for and committing to all aspects of diversity and inclusion—a climate where all constituents feel valued and differences are celebrated. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree required and ten years of successful senior-level management experience in intercollegiate athletics or a related field, preferably in higher education athletics administration. Demonstrated understanding and experience in budget management and long-range financial planning in a complex organization based on sound business management skills and sophisticated financial capabilities. Experience with oversight of strategic planning including facility development and capital projects. Demonstrated management, leadership, and supervisory experience. Experience managing confidential information. Experience in and demonstrated understanding of NCAA regulations, policies, and practices. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:* Master's degree.* Ten (10) years of directly related experience.
