Job Details

The role of adjunct faculty in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Program is to teach students in ten Master's concentrations and eight Certificate concentrations. Our courses are offered in three primary formats including on-campus, online, and hybrid; for a select few courses we use a HiFlex course format. The University College uses Canvas, a Learning Management System (LMS), for all courses. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be provided with a complete course in a Canvas "course container." The course container comprises certain elements that you may not change, including the course title, course description, course learning outcomes, and the course gradebook. Within the course container you will be provided with a syllabus template for you to design your course syllabus. In order to encourage best practices in teaching, each University College adjunct faculty member must adhere to the University College's Baseline Faculty Expectations (BFE) that cover four areas: 1) before your class begins, 2) course management expectations, 3) course engagement expectations, and 4) communication expectations.
