DescriptionThe Department of Biology at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs seeksa half-time, non-tenure track instructor to begin in August of 2019. Thesuccessful candidate will teach 12 credit/contact hours per 9-month academicyear and coordinate respective laboratory sections. Teaching assignments mayinclude, but are not limited to, Biol 1000, 1060, 1300, 1310, 1350 and 1360. Course descriptions can be found here. 

 The University enrolls ~11,000 students with ~800 undergraduate Biology majors.  Thedepartment is dedicated to outstanding teaching and research at theundergraduate and Master’s levels (www.uccs.edu/~biology)

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Biology or closely related field, or aMaster’s degree in another field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours inbiology.

 Preferred:PhD in Biology or closely related field; 1 year of undergraduatebiology teaching experience in lecture and/or lab settings.
