Stanford's Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“DAPER”) is the premier intercollegiate athletics program in the country. We are the proud Home of Champions! We lead the nation with 120 NCAA championship titles, completed an unpresented sweep of both the men's and women's Capital One Cups, and have brought home the Learfield Director's Cup for 24 straight years. We support nearly 900 student-athletes who compete on 36 intercollegiate athletics teams and also support the university's physical education, recreation and wellness initiatives. We are seeking candidates for the position of Associate Sports Performance Coach (“Coach”) whose academic excellence, professional qualities, and experience demonstrates leadership in all areas of sports performance.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the development and implementation of athletics performance enhancement programs for women's basketball and women's golf and other administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Olympic Sports Performance.
Summary of essential job functions:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, human performance or related field.
- A master's degree is strongly preferred.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience of full-time coaching experience in the field of strength and conditioning and/or sports performance.
- Experience with athlete performance monitoring utilizing GPS is preferred.
- Current CSCS and/or CSCCa certification(s).
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of basic spreadsheet and processing programs.
