The University of Kentucky College of Nursing invites qualified applicants for this full-time position in the College of Nursing. This tenure-track position will report to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Faculty and IPE Faculty Affairs. Expectations of the position include generating an active program of research supported by extramural funding; ongoing record of scholarly productivity including publications and presentations; teaching to include undergraduate classroom and online instruction; advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; serving on doctoral student advisory committees appropriate to candidate’s expertise; active involvement in university and college committees as well as service to the profession.
Qualifications include a doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree or comparable research-focused doctorate in nursing or related field. Applicants with a nursing degree must be eligible for or hold RN licensure in the state of Kentucky. A research program aligned with prevention of diseases with a high incidence in the state of Kentucky including cancer, cardiovascular disease and substance abuse, or in other areas of faculty research strength including health disparities; health policy; human lactation; maternal-child health and perinatal addiction; occupational and rural health; radon and other environmental risk reduction; self-care of chronic conditions; or tobacco prevention, treatment and/or policy is highly preferred.
