ESL-BE Undergraduate Adjunct Professor
Ph.D. or Ed.D. or M.A. in ESL/BE. The ideal candidate has teaching experience in a K-12 setting in ESL, Bilingual and/or dual-language Spanish immersion classrooms. Previous college-level teaching is desired.
Trinity seeks candidates for faculty positions who are professing Christians and are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. Successful candidates will possess the ability to articulate the relationship between their academic discipline, the vocational preparation of their students, and a vision for human flourishing that emerges from the Christian faith. Successful candidates are also dedicated to personal involvement with students outside of the classroom through advising and other informal academic and cultural settings.
This is a part-time adjunct faculty role teaching in teaching assignments based on areas of experience and expertise. Hybrid courses are: Foundations of ESL and Bilingual Education, Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students, Methods and Materials for Teaching English Language Learners, and Assessment of English Language Learners and Bilingual Students. Online courses are Methods and Materials for Teaching Bilingual Students and Linguistics. Two courses are taught each term including the summer term. The summer term courses are online.
Compensation is at the rate of $720 a credit hour
All hybrid courses are taught on Mondays for eight weeks. Start date is August 26, 2019. For further information about the position contact:

Trinity Christian College is a four-year liberal arts college located in Palos Heights, Illinois, a suburb twenty miles southwest of Chicago.
