Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Welcome students and answer questions about college and/or OSA and provide excellent customer service to those coming into our office being the front-line person.
2.Provide coverage at events sponsored by OSA
3.Assist in preparation, set up, take-down, and clean-up of OSA programs (including balloons, decorations and popcorn machine)
4.Maintain postings on college bulletin boards, pillar boards, hanging signs, and standing signs for campus-wide activities and events.
5.Keep racks of OSA literature filled
6.Create flyers, brochures, banners and other promotional materials for OSA programs
7.Create monthly calendars of events on bulletin boards
8.Use creativity to market programs and inform students of events (costumes are always a possibility)
9.Run departmental errands
10.Complete light office duties (file, make copies, maintain resource library and organize as needed)
11.Beginning in November, assist with Comfort Zones held every Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:30pm (through March)
12.Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Excellent communication skills
2.Ability to take initiative but also to work as a team player
3.Personable, respectful, responsible and creative
4.Computer skills necessary (being a fast learner is not a yes to this requirement).
5.Familiarity with Social Media venues: Snap Chat, Instagram, Twitter and ability to use creativity to post items on them
6.Must like to work in a fast paced environment and able to multitask

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Experienced with publishing software (Publisher and Photoshop preferred)
2.Knowledge of college resources helpful but training will be provided
3.Ability to write legibly on arrow signs and entrance signs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•Walking and some lifting required
•Climbing on ladders on occasion is also required

WORKING CONDITIONS
•There are inside and outside events held through our department.
