UNT's Center for Leadership & Service provides programs, services, and activities designed to enhance student learning and student engagement in leadership and service. The Center will integrate learning, service and leadership to promote a lasting commitment to civic responsibility and lifelong service. The Center also promotes the retention of students by meeting the educational, informational, and involvement needs of a diverse student population.

Job Description
The Center for Leadership & Services Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Services Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:


* Provide administrative leadership in the development, coordination, and implementation of educational student community engagement programs that enhance student learning and civic and social responsibility.
* Oversee the planning and implementation of signature days of service, and large scale programs that promote civic engagement development in students.
* Develop relationships with community organizations to create opportunities for community engagement.
* Assist with volunteer fairs and expos to expose students to engagement opportunities.
* Support the UNT SERVES! a REAL community.
* Advise and support Project VolUNTeer, a student-run organization plans and implements the signature days of service.
* Advise and support Eaglethon, a student-run philanthropy program.
* Develop recognition programs to encourage student engagement.
* Develop, implement, and assess learning outcomes to ensure programs are meeting the needs of all UNT students.
* Coordinate the selection process, training, and overall supervision of all student workers designated to the Service Programs.
* Produce, publish, and distribute communication to the UNT community about all programs and services.
* Supervise Graduate Assistant for Service initiatives.
* Work with academic and student affairs departments across campus in the development of collaborative programs related to community engagement.
* Connect with alumni and staff to engage them with community service opportunities.
* Maintain an accurate website and coordinate the technology to advertise service opportunities.
* Serve on committees and task forces as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

* Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
* Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
* Experience in networking across departments and programs.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
* Some experience in customer service is preferred.
