The Director of Academic and Career Advising provides leadership in the design, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive programs and services that support student progression through the Evergreen curriculum and engagement in intentional curricular and co-curricular experiences that prepare graduates for lifelong career and civic development. In addition, the Director oversees all activities to serve the career development needs of alumni and leverage alumni and employer networks to maximize internship and mentorship opportunities for current students. The Director serves as the institutional lead in identifying, translating, and applying best practices in academic and career advising to serve the unique needs, culture, and curricular structure of The Evergreen State College. The position provides leadership, vision, management, and implementation of college career services, including career exploration, graduate school advising, and employment resources, information, and referral.
This is a full-time, overtime-exempt position on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is an "at-will" appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
Salary and Benefits: $6,114 – $6,760 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
