Applications are being sought for a 9-month fixed term instructor beginning August 1, 2019. Responsibilities include teaching a 4/4 load and supervising undergraduate students in the Birth-Kindergarten online program as well as service responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position

The faculty member will teach online classes, and develop online courses, supervise and advise in the Birth-Kindergarten program. In addition, faculty will share program responsibilities, provide service to the Birth-Kindergarten Program.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Birth-Kindergarten, Child Development or a closely related field; expertise in working with young children birth-kindergarten; eligibility for North Carolina licensure. Experience teaching courses in an early childhood program or related field, experience advising students, experience in instruction and development of courses, and experience in a pre-kindergarten or kindergarten classroom.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in online instruction and development of online courses, supervising student interns and teaching in a B-K classroom.
