A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THE COORDINATOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

As the Coordinator of Community Engagement, you will enjoy being part of our campus culture made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds, heritages, and experiences. By working collaboratively with student service organizations, student groups, local community agencies, and other constituents, you work with your team to lead and enrich our campus. This is a live on campus position.

You are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community as well as a culture of thoughtful, open, and respectful discourse and debate. You advise student service organizations, including the Community Outreach Leadership Team and Alpha Phi Omega. You will facilitate focused reflective practices/systems to facilitate student learning from community service. The Student Life department depend on your assistance in collecting and reporting data about student service hours and student community service partnerships. You collaborate with student groups and other campus offices on supporting and developing service and philanthropy events. You have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness. You love interacting with students and being able to make a difference in their higher education experience and their lives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
• The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, technical and written communication skills with the ability to work closely with a diverse group of students.
