The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is seeking a lecturer in German, non-tenure-track, beginning in August 2019 for a full-time position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach elementary, intermediate, and advanced German language courses.  Native or near-native proficiency in German and a solid command of English is required. 

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses (12 credit hours per semester), meeting with students during regular weekly office hours, and collaborating with the department on course and curriculum development and program building.

Qualifications include a commitment to excellence in German language pedagogy, a minimum of one year of collegiate teaching experience, and a Ph.D. in German, Linguistics, or a related field.
