Upward Bound Adjuncts have the responsibility to develop curriculum in their area of expertise that will provide instruction as well as enrichment experiences for participants. Instructors are expected to provide a positive learning environment, serve as positive role models and be supportive of the Upward Bound objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A master's degree in the discipline or in a related discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Two years experience teaching.
Essential Duties:
1. Develop course syllabus.
2. Develop course curriculum.
3. Provide instruction as assigned.
4. Evaluate each participant's performance.
5. Attend Upward Bound staff meetings and Upward Bound in service training.
6. Maintain accurate records on each participant.
7. Participate in Awards Night and other activities.

ECC Campus: Thirteen buildings grace a picturesque 217-acre campus. Streamwood Center: In 1998, the college and Village of Streamwood remodeled the lower level of Village Hall to include computer and general purpose classrooms. Classes offered there make it easier for those who live in the eastern portions of ECC’s district to attend college.
Satelitte Campuses: ECC holds classes throughout the northwest suburbs at off-campus locations scattered across the district. Whether it is a medical center where ECC nursing students assist in patient care, a fire station where students transform into prospective lifesavers, or a nearby forest preserve where bird watching takes over on Saturday mornings, ECC classes are somewhere nearby.
