Instructors (Academic and Elective) - ETS Summer Program

Job Summary:

Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Summer Program Instructors (temporary, part time grant funded positions). This position prepares lesson plans, provides instruction, pre and post testing, student evaluation and classroom management; assists with program activities. Employment includes scheduled mandatory training/ orientation workshops. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Classroom management is an integral part of these responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required in Secondary Education (subject area) or related subject area; Teaching Certificate and/or Community College or four year college teaching experience. Excellent classroom management and written/oral communication skills are essential. Experience working with economically challenged/first generation college bound students. Experiences in TRIO preferred.
