- Oversees and organizes an assigned group (or groups) of campers in day to day activities
- Learns the material provided in advance and takes the initiative in preparing and conducting camp activities
- Attends mandatory trainings as required

- One (1) Year (30 college credits) from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of experience working with children ages 5-12 years old; or High School Diploma or GED equivalent & four (4) years of experience working with children ages 5-12 years old
- CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to receive certification at beginning of Camp prog
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Possess special skills such as: interest in arts, crafts, computers, sports, science, environment, reading or math
- Ability to pass swim test, if required
- Knowledge and training in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods of time under varied environmental conditions
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments
