The Part-Time Administrative Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the planning, directing, and supervising all Children’s Trust grant activities within the department. This is a temporary grant funded position.

    Maintains volunteer database, provides hands-on volunteer recruitment, trains volunteers, and keeps track of volunteer assignmentsKeeps close contact with volunteers in the field specifically related to Adopt-A-Book plansAssures that books are being sorted correctly, deposing of any books that does not meet project criteriaResponds to queries related to community involvement in book drives and helps initiates and establish relationshipsCoordinates ongoing, close monitoring of book drive collection site to ensure timely pickup and deliveryCreates an environment to ensure daily participation and attendance by kidsEnsures data is collected and inputted daily for Children’s Trust recordsEnsures that all items are prepared and ready for the monitoring report

    Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; or Associate’s degree and two (2) years of related administrative or grant experience
  • Possess a valid current Florida Driver License
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and proceduresAbility to manage volunteers and achieve high program outcomesAbility to develop, plan, organize and carry out daily and special programs Ability to prepare and provide records and reports of activitiesPossess good conflict resolution skills and the ability identify and diffuse problems before they arrive Ability to drive to different locations to inspect book shelves and book drive collection process
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
