The incumbent implements and sustains the Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP); assists with the recruitment, programs and workshops; prepares and maintains grant reports, records, and evaluations; purchases and tracks expenses. http://rpijobs.rpi.edu/postings/7908
Minimum Qualifications- Associate’s Degree in STEM or other related field
- Three (3) or more years of directly related experience
OR
- A relevant combination of education, experience and training may be substituted for a degree
-Valid US driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities•Ability to work with diverse populations including middle and high school students (grades 7-12), parents and guardians
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Attention to detail and organizational skills
•Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects with multiple deadlines
•Ability to take initiative and follow up on constituent issues as needed
•Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to update web pages/sites using institute web authoring tool.

Flexible work week is built around Saturday programming from September through June. Duties will require extended hours during peak times, including evenings, nights and weekends. Possible travel, including overnight, to distant sites and/or conferences.
Additional InformationThe Program Coordinator assists the Program Director with the successful development, implementation, continuity and sustainability of the Rensselaer Science & Technology Entry Program (STEP). The Program Coordinator assists with the recruitment of program participants, and the development and delivery of programs and workshops; provides support in preparing and maintaining all RPI STEP grant reports, records, and evaluations, and maintains current, accurate student records as required by the grant; and works with the Program Director to develop the annual program budget and is responsible for purchasing and tracking expenses in accordance with Rensselaer purchasing policies.
