Position Summary

Arts and Science is seeking a talented Manager of Content, Digital Media, and Publications to join Liberal Studies. This individual will develop and organize materials for Liberal Studies publications and web presence: assess marketing strategies, goals and concepts about written and visual content of publications and online presence; enhance web presence and interactivity; ensure content is created in accordance with Arts and Science and NYU guidelines, including the Website Accessibility Policy; liaise regularly with the Arts and Science Director of Communications. Write and edit a variety of publications and stand-alone pieces for Liberal Studies. Write, edit, and manage content geared toward Liberal Studies web presence, including social media, photography, and video. Manage content calendar of marketing and communications efforts for Liberal Studies, including communication with admitted students. Assist in other Dean's office special projects as needed, including admissions activities, event planning, etc.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. writing, publishing, marketing, digital media, etc.)Preferred Education:Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. writing, publishing, digital media, marketing, etc.)Required Experience:3-5 years of relevant experience with public relations, marketing, web production/digital media, communications or similar field.Preferred Experience:Graphic design skills a plusRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of content management systems (WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager), social networking platforms, digital media, and database software. Desire to work in a diverse academic environment that includes international stakeholders and perspectives. Strong leadership and planning skills. Ability to work toward common goals as a member of a team.
