Bowie and Gainesville Campuses; responsibilities include providing academic advisement and course planning to new and returning students. Assist students with assessing academic skills, interpreting TSI status and placement test results, and in exploring career and transfer options. Provide additional services, programs, and activities that contribute to student success, such as high school visits and classroom presentations. Salary $15/hr and some travel may be required. May be subject to criminal background check. Resume and transcript required in addition to application.

Required Education

Minimum Required: Bachelors degree with course work in Social Science, Psychology, Higher Education, Counseling, or related area in Student Development.

Required Skills & Abilities

Bachelors degree with course work in Social Science, Psychology, Higher Education, Counseling, or related area in Student Development; two years work related experience.

Preferred Skills & Abilities Required Experience

Two years work related experience in the field of education, student services, and/or service to the public.
