Research Coordinator - Georgetown University Medical Center

Requirements
The Research Coordinator serves as a primary research coordinator for activities related to the Survey, Recruitment, and Biospecimen Collection Shared Resource (SRBSR) Resource at Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC). S/he recruits patients to the SRBSR Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved protocol, the Georgetown MedStar Research Registry (GMR2) and any other IRB approved protocols administered by the SRBSR. Under direct supervision of the SRBSR Director of Operations with oversight provided by the SRBSR co-directors, the Research Coordinator has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
- Oversees recruitment and consent activities and the administration of study related questionnaires.
- Conducts biospecimen acquisition and delivery as well as patient triage and follow-up.
- Screens schedules for eligible candidates and triage's patients into related studies.
- Handles the data entry and record maintenance for the department, fulfilling data requests and reports as requested by the SRBSR DOO or Directors.
- Coordinates with all internal and external entities involved in study related activities, including but not limited to, other shared resources at GUMC/LCCC, SRBSR approved investigators, and clinical teams.
- Reviews and updates SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) for protocols and generates data queries.
- Assists with preparation of training and presentation materials such as slides and flyers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years of experience in clinical research
- Experience with interactive databases, Microsoft, and EHR systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical abilities, and interpersonal skills
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
