Job Summary:

The Transcript Analyst I, under general supervision, evaluates transcripts from Colleges, Universities, and military work for transferability and makes decisions on resident status and other admissions issues.

Responsibilities:
-Articulate and update transcripts using Banner student system. Review, evaluate and articulate military transcripts (AARTS/SMARTS). Enter evaluated courses into the evaluation sheet, contact student by email to sign and pick up their military evaluation, articulate returned evaluation sheets into student system. Keep up to date withACEcredit recommendation updates. Pull military transcripts from system as required.

-Evaluate student Texas Success Initiative (TSI). Maintain and update TSI screens and modify TSI status for completion based on coursework or other TSI status areas, verify, update and/or post Texas Success Initiative (TSI) into the student system.
-Determine admissions decisions. Post the admissions decisions into the student system.
-Create and send admissions decision letters by emails.
-Assist current and prospective students, faculty, staff, and advisers on course equivalencies to a course at TAMUCT that is needed for transfer, degree plan and/or updates.
-Process Business Occupations block credit andCLEPcredit, perform as a committee member for the block credit.
-Update incoming transcripts.
-Maintain articulation database system containing match lists of course equivalents.
-Accept other duties as assigned by the admissions supervisor or department head.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two years of related experience.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Salary: $22,716 ($10.92/hour)

Hours: Mon-Fri; 8am-5pm
