Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor
Farmer School of Business: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor (possible multiple positions) to teach multiple sections of BUS 101: Foundations of Business. This position is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
BUS 101 is part of the required First-Year Integrated Core (FYIC) curriculum for all Farmer School of Business majors. The FYIC is an innovative four course bundle that teaches students critical skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, computational thinking & coding, ethical thinking, communication, and collaboration. As a BUS 101 teacher, you will be a part of a faculty who work together as a team to integrate these key skills across all four FYIC classes (BUS 101: Foundations of Business; BUS 102: Foundations of Business Communication; ESP 103: Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Thinking; and BUS 104: Introduction to Computational Thinking for Business). The BUS 101: Foundations of Business is a hybrid course that introduces students to the foundational concepts of business and allows students to develop essential skills including critical and creative thinking, communication and collaboration, ethical decision-making, global awareness, and utilizing technology to support business functions. Students will learn their own thinking preferences and learn how to work collaboratively on a team over time.
Require: PhD (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor); Master’s degree (for appointment as Instructor) in business, communication, or related fields. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
