Position Information Job Title Student Success Coach - EOF Working Title Student Success Coach - EOF Requisition Number 063389 Department Educatonal Opportunity Fund Location Lincroft Job Description The position of Student Success Coach provides students with the tools and resources to be successful in college. The Student Success Coach is responsible for building relationships with students to assist them in navigating the College's enrollment processes and transitioning successfully from high school to college. Through integrated work with faculty and the student, the Success Coach will deliver universal, seamless, personalized support. Using technology, they will monitor student progress at strategic, mandatory touch points with proactive early alerts and interventions. The Success Coach will maintain a meaningful relationship of sustained, shared responsibility with the student and active engagement in programs directed toward retention and student success. Description of Duties/Selection Criteria Manage and monitor a caseload of students, serving as the primary point of contact providing consistent, accurate and timely information about the College's policies and programs.

Leverage technology and high-engagement strategies, including but not limited to Degree Audit, the Student Planning tool and the CRM to connect with students and faculty at mandatory touch points throughout the year. Instruct students in the use of technology including Degree Audit function and Student Planning tools to develop and monitor their academic plan and status toward degree completion.

Support students in developing an educational plan and strategies to improve student success and facilitate completion to degree utilizing Guided Pathway models. Teach face-to-face, day, evening and online Student Success workshops and/or College Student Success Course as needed.

Mentor students in skills needed to be successful in college; prepare and present workshops on a variety of student success related topics; develop and maintain positive working relationships with faculty and staff to enhance communication, interventions and student success.

Advise students, in the area of, but not limited to, degree selections, transfer, probation and suspension, financial aid appeals, career resources and graduation.
Assist the Director of Enrollment Management with Early Alerts and other retention activities and initiatives utilizing the latest technology in sending these alerts at critical points in the semester.

Required participation in student programs and activities related to Enrollment, Orientation and other student success or retention related activities and collaborate with Student Success Division to facilitate relevant retention and success initiatives and other student activities.

*Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Duties and Responsibilities listed under Special Instructions to Applicants section. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's is preferred. Minimum of three years' experience working directly with students fostering student learning, support and success is required as well as a clear understanding of academic advising and first year experience at the community college level. Demonstrated understanding of the challenges facing a community college student and the ability to instruct and motivate students at the college level. An ability to develop positive mentoring relationships with a diverse student population. Must be computer literate with ability to utilize Microsoft Office at an intermediate level and the ability to learn and utilize specific higher education programs and systems. Individual should have superior analytical, written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as leadership and management skills. There should be demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of FERPA regulations is required. Engage in case management practices to include development of student success plans, conduct student outreach and appointment scheduling using available college communication systems to maintain connections, document student visits, maintain appropriate files to include statements of services and specifics on students' cases, and engage in student case conferences with the EOF Director as requested.
Guide student involvement in EOF program support services, and in collaboration with the Student Success Division and Academic Institutes, advise and involve the student in college-wide and institutional retention programs.
Maintain a workable knowledge of institutional, state, federal financial aid available to students, and the rules and regulations governing them, and integrate financial aid advisement services.
Assist in the design, coordination, and delivery of the EOF program's career development and transfer service components to include the integration of program adopted systems and activities across advisement services.
Stay abreast of, recommend, and adopt exemplary practices to promote student success to include participating in workshops, conferences and other venues which address EOF program operational priorities.
Engage in applicable assessment practices to include caseload-specific student performance outcomes reporting, documentation of advising-career-transfer service provision, related student participation, and perception of services.
Contribute to EOF program meeting reporting requirements established by the funding agency for program participation to include preparation of annual contractual goals and annual report sections linked to position duties and responsibilities.
