Position Description:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Personnel-Payroll Analyst interprets and provides guidance on employment-related policy and procedure, establishes and maintains personnel payroll records and databases, and processes personnel actions in UCPath and payroll actions in Time Reporting System (TRS) systems for approximately 430 academic, apprentice academic, monthly and bi-weekly, career and limited staff within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The incumbent will also prepare reports using Cognos, process exchange visitor visas for international employees and visiting scholars; assist new employees with complete and accurate processing of new hire paperwork; provide benefits counseling, establish Glacier records for non-resident employees, arrange for Bruincards, background checks (fingerprinting), email access, parking and keys; orient employees to time-reporting procedures and workplace policies.
