Institutional Research Analyst - Office of Assessment and Decision Support (OADS)
The Office of Assessment and Decision Support (OADS) provides leadership and coordination in data collection and analysis, institutional research and assessment in support of University planning, the continuous improvement of educational programs, and the achievement of University mission and goals.

The Institutional Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the data collection, analytics/analysis, and report preparation needed by the University's planning and institutional research functions, under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Office of Assessment and Decision Support (OADS). Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Organization and oversight of the university's response to numerous government agencies and higher-education associations, such as IPEDS, AAUP and COFHE.
  • Substantial discretion, responding directly to frequent and numerous requests for data and analyses about the University from various offices within Georgetown, from sister institutions.
  • Responsible for the University's response to a number of external surveys and internal reports as well as from numerous government agencies and higher-education associations.
  • Undertake survey research projects to meet the needs of a diverse group of campus entities especially in support of the academic mission.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the character and organization of higher education in the United States and the information required for institutional research reports to be helpful for institutional decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, in fields that utilize analytical/quantitative research, statistics, mathematics, survey research, etc
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in institutional research or a closely related field, or the equivalent in education
  • Demonstrated expertise with statistical programming, data management, data visualization software and research tools such as COGNOS, Qualtrics, SPSS, R, Stata, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and/or others is mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience in using databases with a content emphasis in higher education (enterprise or derivative) systems

Preferred qualification:
  • Master's degree highly desirable
